Radioactive Materials License

Lucas holds a Washington State Radioactive Materials License (WN-L0243). This license allows Lucas to provide radiological/health physics services within Washington State, as well as other NRC agreement states and in states regulated directly by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission via reciprocity. Specifically, this license authorizes Lucas to provide:

“Radiation health physics services as a commercial service including, but not limited to, radiological surveys (site characterization sampling surveys, decontamination and decommissioning surveys, for example), site characterization, decontamination, remediation, demolition, and decommissioning support, consultation to clients regarding radioactive waste storage and processing, isolation and identification of radioactive material.

Waste brokerage services including material handling, preparation of radionuclides for transport, transfer and shipping, radiological sampling, surveys, site characterization, and other commercial health physics services performed at client facilities and/or temporary job sites.”

In addition to the above services Lucas provides radiological and waste management assessments, and training for compliance with 49 CFR 172.700.
